On Saturday 18th August our acoustic trio travelled to France to perform for Lucy and Dan's wedding day at Chateau La Durantie. We had not performed at this venue before so it was exciting to experience a new venue and wow were we totally blown away.
Jonny and Scott performed an instrumental set as guests arrived to take their seats for the ceremony. Lucy walked down the aisle, accompanied by her brother, to an instrumental version of Thousand years by Christina Perry, there wasn't a dry eye in the house!
We then relocated to just outside the Chateau where the guests were enjoying a champagne reception whilst we performed acoustic covers in the sunshine. Lucy and Dan has chosen a set list made up of current acoustic pop covers which keep the atmosphere fun & happy but still elegant to suit the surroundings.
After a delicious meal (thanks guys) & stroll around the grounds we were nearly ready for our last set that lead into their first dance. We performed upbeat sing along songs to get everyone in the mood for the party and ended the set with our acoustic performance of Perfect which can be found on our youtube page here. Surrounded by their friends and family holding sparklers in the beautiful gardens of Chateau La Durantie Lucy and Dan had their first dance, it was a magical moment! Jonny on Sax then performed with George their DJ until early hours of the morning.
We headed back to Bordeaux and caught the first flight home at 7am ready for our next Wedding in London on the Sunday. We want to thank Lucy and Dan for inviting us to France to be part of their special day, we were extremeley well looked after and absolutely loved being part of their special day. We were really impressed with Chateau La Durantie and hope to be back their soon for another wedding.
A short video of the Salisbury session, filmed at the BlockZen studio in Hertfordshire on the 3rd June, 2014. We sand several songs, including a cover of New York, with sound setup by Josh Schaul.
