On Tuesday 17th January we were honoured to be asked to perform for Child.org at the Shindig.
We performed an acoustic duo set as guests were arriving and then went on to perform a more lively acoustic quartet set later in the evening. It was our first time at The Shindig venue at Brew House in London fields and we absolutely loved it! If you're looking for a unique and trendy location for an event, this place is awesome! They have an in-house sound system and engineer which is a huge benefit when booking a live band.
Child.org is not like any other charity i've ever worked with, the staff are truly inpsiring and their innovative ideas on ways to raise money and awareness is simply fantastic.
Thank you for having us, it was a pleasure to be part of such a wonderful event.
Here is a little bit about the charity but please find out more at - http://child.org/
"We create innovative social enterprise products that make people happy. Our groundbreaking Charity Apprentice course will train you for a rewarding career. Our corporate products will make your company a great place to work. We want to make the world better with everything we do. We use the money to fund projects that are tailored to a child’s circumstances and break down barriers to child equality. We are a children’s charity with a holistic approach. We look at a child’s circumstances and address whatever problems are standing in the way of their right to an education and a happy, healthy life. We provide all the things a child needs; food, health services, water, support, a safe place to be. We do what works."
A short video of the Salisbury session, filmed at the BlockZen studio in Hertfordshire on the 3rd June, 2014. We sand several songs, including a cover of New York, with sound setup by Josh Schaul.
