Beautiful marriage in Malta

On Thursday 3rd June we flew out to Malta to perform at one of the most beautiful Weddings we have ever seen. Having been booked for this Wedding more than 6 months ago we were so excited to meet the lovely Roo and Hayley in person. They travelled all the way from Australia to get married in Malta, within seconds of arriving at the venue, Villa Bologna, it was clear why they had travelled so far.

The Villa Bologna simply took our breath away, with remarkable architecture and stunning gardens it is no wonder it has been named the most beautiful 18th century country house to be built for a Maltese family. The Wedding ceremony was outside in one of the gardens, as our stunning bride Hayley walked down the aisle in a gorgeous lace dress there wasn't a dry eye in the house! We performed an acoustic cover of "Idler's Dream" by Oasis as the brial partied walked in. To set the scene as they signed the register Scott performed an acoustic instrumental. As they walked back down the aisle as man and wife we performed one of their favourite songs, "She's electric" by Oasis. The ceremony was incredibly heartfelt and it was such a pleasure to be a part of something so special.

We then relocated to another part of the Villa Bologna where Roo and Hayley had planned an awesome quirky Wedding picnic for their guests. We performed 2 x 45 minute sets of acoustic background music as they enjoyed their delicious food and drinks by the fantastic Island Caterers.

As the sun set we saw their Wedding picnic transform into a magical garden with lanterns and fairy lights hanging from the trees ready for their first dance and evening celebration.

Matt Hush captured the day with his extraordinary photography.

We want to thank Hayley and Roo for letting us be a part of their special day. They really are one of the nicest couples we have ever met. For anyone looking to get married abroad, the Mediterranean garden wedding setting at Villa Bologna is second to none, the staff at Island Caterers were fantastic and Sarah Young the Wedding planner is one of the best we've worked with and kept everything running to time and was extremley helpful during our set up.
